hCG Day 10

R1P2 VLCD8 (Dose 9)

I am ecstatic to report that I am down 1.3 lbs this morning.  :happy dance:
It was a looooong and hellacious week scale-wise, but I'm back and bumping up my daily averages again.

I had a bit of an issue with eating cabbage Tuesday afternoon.  I actually gained 1.1 lbs and stalled with very VERY little loss until this morning.  No more cabbage for me, thankyouverymuch.

So, without further ado ...

:drumroll:

Losses so far ...

Losses Post Loading:  8.4 lbs
Total Net Lost (Pre-Load):  5.7 lbs
Average Daily Losses (Post Loading): 1.05 lbs  (PLW/VLCD = ADL)

Knocking on the next "decade".  I'll be there in less than 1/2 lb.  This also puts me less than 12 lbs away from my lowest weight in about 10 yrs.  I'm also within 30 lbs of my goal weight.  I still have 39 days left on this round.  I wonder how close I'll get !

:fingers crossed:

Good luck with your losses !!!

hCG -- Day 5

R1D5 VLCD3

Another 1.8 lbs down !!!

Total losses:
Including load pounds gained:  Down 5.8 lbs
Net pounds lost (pre-load weight):  Down 3.1 lbs
Two-Day Net Average:  1.55 lbs

(Ooooh, to keep up that momentum !!!)

I know this is going to taper off to way less than that per day, but I sure am enjoying the ride.  :)

Enjoying the cooler weather here.  I may get out and walk a bit later this afternoon.  Maybe even go to the tanning salon.  For now, I'm enjoying the day off work and getting a little housework done here and there.  Energy levels are good, but I'm in a lazy mood today.  LOL

No real hunger today.  Yesterday, it was a bit touchy right before bed.  During established meal times, I wasn't very hungry and filled up quickly.  I'd not had my evening vegetable, so I had a diced tomato.  It did the trick rather nicely.  Tonight, I'll save part of my strawberries as a late snack.

Today, I decided to cook a lot of chicken at once, portion out into zip-top bags, and freeze.  And, when I say a lot, I mean eighteen 4 oz breasts to be divvied up into almost 21 meals.  (4 x 18) / 3.5 = 20.57 meals.  I wish I could eat this cheaply ALL of the time !  Hopefully, these quick-grab bags will help keep me Perfectly on Plan (POP) the entire time I am on hCG and the 3 days after my last dose.  I may go ahead and cook 3 more so I can have another bag done.  Apparently I miscalculated and will have a bit of chicken left over.  I'd give it to the cat, but it's been seasoned.

For today's meals:

Breakfast
5 strawberries

Lunch
3.5 oz Chicken
1/4 Cabbage, roasted (no oil) with onion powder, garlic powder, freshly ground pepper and sea salt, and cayenne.

Snack
5 Strawberries

Supper
3.5 oz Shrimp
1/4 Cabbage (same as above)
5 Strawberries

Snack
5 strawberries

Of course, there will be lots and lots of water and flavored-decaf coffee throughout the day.

Not sure if anyone is interested in my meals each day, but it WILL help me keep track.

Happy losing !!!

hCG -- Day 4

R1D4 VLCD2

Down 4 lbs this morning !!!  That's recouping the 2.7 lbs gained during the two Loading Days and 1.3 lbs of abnormal fat.  Not too shabby.  :)

Today's eats have been Strawberries, shrimp, diced tomatoes, German Chocolate Cake decaf coffee, chicken breast cooked on the stove top  (a little water keeps it from sticking), and later I will have a mug of tomato soup (homemade).

I've not been truly hungry today, but I did find myself wandering around the kitchen.  I freely admit I tend to "graze".  I just didn't realize how BAD I can be.  Wow.

Lots of water on the agenda.  Maybe another pot of decaf somethingorother..  Not really used to the idea of coffee without cream, but I'm getting there.  Maybe I can cut artificial sweetener next.

If you're hCGing it too, lots of luck on your journey.  :)

hCG -- Day 3

R1 VLCD1 ... A shot has been fired. Or, should that be "The Shot Heard 'round the World" ? ... Hang on ...

WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!

OK. Now, it has. ;D

I weighed this morning, as I knew not to DURING loading. I was very surprised (and VERY pleased) to see that I am up only 2.7 lbs after the crapload of carbs and fat combo (mostly dairy) I'd had yesterday. There's no TELLING how many calories I'd consumed. I'm not even gonna look. LOL

As a quick introduction, I am a 44 yr old female trying to lose the rest of my excess body fat.  I'd lost most to living a very low carb WOE/WOL.  Before hCG "loading days", I was at 166 lbs.  After loading, 168.7 lbs.  Not too bad considering the excessive fat/carb combos both days.  :blargh:  Honestly, I'm glad those two days are behind me.

Today's agenda:  Lots of water (I love the smartwater brand) and decaf coffee from coffeeam(dot)com (Insomnia ... HELLO-O-O-O !!) to drink; chicken breast and sauteed baby spinach for lunch; lean beef and more spinach for supper; strawberries for a snack.

When I had lost a lot of weight low-carbing it up, I had a hard time drinking water.  I hate the way water tastes at my place.  (Probably the pipes.)  One day, I tried smartwater.  I've been hooked ever since.  Also, during that time, I was always wanting some sort of dessert.  Flavored coffees in our area are almost always ONLY sold caffeinated (or as I like to call it "leaded" LOL).  I can't have "leaded" coffee late at night.  So, I did a web search and found "CoffeeAM".  OMg !!!  You won't believe their "UN-leaded" collection.  AND, best of all, if you can't find it in the decaf list, but it's available in the caffeinated list, CALL THEM.  Their customer service ROCKS !  A very nice rep (Peter) helped me get KING CAKE as an unleaded version.  You have to call though.  AND, there is no additional charge.  I *heart* them.  Raaaaaaaally, ah do-o-o-o.

As for the LC part, I will go back to being LC after my 40th injection has been given.  I'm not taking any chances as carb sensitive as I am.  Diabetes I/II and hypoglycemia ("The Weak Trembles", as my sweet grandmother used to call it) run rampant through my family.  One sister was diagnosed with Type II last year, so that spurred me to get my butt in gear.  LC works for me.  I feel better.  My skin feels better.  My blood sugar doesn't spike and crash.  I love it.

Do I miss carb-y foods ?  Of course.  Do I miss being thin ?  Uh-huh.

Which do I miss more ?
Yeah.  And, that's why I'm here.

At the beginning of my weight loss journey, someone said a couple of things that have sort of "stuck".  They help me when I struggle with cravings:

One:  "Losing weight is hard.  Being fat is hard.  Choose your 'hard'."

Two:  "NOTHING tastes as good as skinny feels."
Good luck on your journey.

With that, I'll leave you with this:

BAM !!!  Take THAT, Fat !!!
